S & L Farms Spring/Summer 2010 CSA Terms of Agreement,
General Policies and Conditions I appreciate locally grown, organic produce and want to ensure that it remains available in this area by participating in the S & L Farms Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program.
I understand that the farmers, Tim and Stacey Smith, pledge to do their best to provide the vegetables, flowers and herbs they propose at the times they estimate. However, as a shareholder in both the bounty and the risk, I understand that nature ultimately decides what I will receive and when I will receive it. I have read the refund policy below and understand there are no refunds after the CSA begins. However, if I find a replacement, I may sell or transfer my share to another party, with the approval of S & L Farms.
The Spring/Summer 30 weeks during which you will receive a wide variety of our heirloom and other tasty vegetables. We anticipate the CSA will begin around the last week in February and end the last week in September. Each week costs $35, for a total of $1050 for the season. Do you split shares? Anyone splitting a share must do so on their own. We do strive to provide an even quantity of products to facilitate division. S & L Farms is not responsible for payment or distribution when a share is split between parties and will not be involved in disputes between parties splitting shares. Only authorized shareholders will be allowed to pickup shares, unless you clear it with S & L Farms.
What if I miss a pick-up? When you are unable to pick up your share, please contact us as soon as possible (979-422-2474) to let us know who will pick up in your absence. We don’t have the staff to make deliveries, so if your weekly share is not picked up; it’s forfeited unless prior arragments have been made with S & L Farms in writing.
Refund policy : We do not offer refunds for shares although we will accept transfers if you are unable to continue your subscription. However, you are responsible to find someone to buy out your share. Any prospective purchaser of the share must be able to pick up at the location where the original share was designated. S & L Farms must be consulted before you sell your share and has final approval of transfer of membership. In the unlikely event of dissolution of the CSA by the operators, refunds would be issued on a pro rata basis within 60 days of date of dissolution.
